Senior Project Engineer Greg Behmer became Swinerton Builders' 19th Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Accredited Professional following his successful completion of the LEED™ accreditation process.
Administered by the U.S. Green Building Council, Behmer earned
LEED™ accreditation by successfully demonstrating his knowledge of green
building design, practices and strategies, and a thorough understanding of the
LEED™ Green Building Rating System, resources and processes by passing
the LEED™ Professional Accreditation Exam.
With LEED™ accreditation Behmer can now facilitate LEED™ Certification
on construction projects.
"It feels great to be a LEED™ Accredited Professional," Behmer said. "I think sustainable design and green building technologies are the future of the industry so it's nice to be on the forefront of that wave with a company like Swinerton. It's a good feeling to be involved with other industry leaders who are interested in promoting environmentally responsible design and construction, and hopefully this is just a first step for me to have a positive impact on how buildings are constructed."
