This project involves the primary data center serving all City Public Service facilities. The hardened structure consists of pan-slab construction and steel frame. Twelve-inch-thick concrete walls ranging from 22 to 37 feet tall protect the facility. All utilities have redundant back-up. The center will be a secured facility enclosed by barbed wire fencing and controlled access. The public will have access to a training facility at the east end of the site. The control center and the training facility are part of a single building although there is no access between them. A field of photovoltaic panels provides renewable energy as a part of the overall Green Building Design.
