The House of Formation is an eight-unit residence for the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. The wood-frame 6,800-square-foot building features eight individual suites, a chapel, kitchen, and common area. The building is LEED-Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Green features include high fly-ash-content concrete, blown-in cellulose insulation, Forest Stewardship Council-certified lumber, solar electric and hot water systems, and recycled-content carpet.
